Building Surveys
A Building Survey, formerly known as a ‘Structural Survey’, provides advice on a buildings construction and condition, and where appropriate, can give cost advice on necessary repairs. Some Building Surveys also provide advice on valuation.
A Building Survey is usually undertaken at acquisition stage, whether it be a freehold or leasehold interest, and provides guidance on existing and potential defects and the likely repairing liability in the future.
The extent of a Building Survey can depend on Clients specific requirements and typically ranges from a superficial appraisal to full survey including detailed investigation and testing of a buildings fabric, mechanical and electrical systems.
At RS Building Consultancy we provide a full building survey package spanning from the RICS Condition Report, RICS HomeBuyers and full Building Surveys.
